This scene makes me think of a wise old sage dispensing wisdom to the crowd of youngers all gathered around him to hear his thoughts on life.
The tree is old and bears no leaves or fruit any more but everything around it flourishes and grows.
This scene was photographed on a nature walk near my home in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
